Revolutionising Payload Capacity: The Innovative Load & Go® vehicle by KFS

In the dynamic world of landscaping, efficiency is key, and The Landscape Group has found a game-changer in their quest for optimal payload capacity – KFS's ingenious <a href="<https://www.advanced-kfs.co.uk/vehicle/load-and-go/>">Load & Go® Vehicles. These new vehicles, built on the reliable front-wheel-drive 3500kg GVW Ford Transits, are redefining the way ride-on machines are transported to job sites.

The Ford Transit, with a curb weight of 1788kg (including the spare wheel), becomes a powerhouse once fully fueled and with a driver on board, boasting an impressive 1320kg carrying capacity. This is music to the ears of The Landscape Group, which faced challenges in achieving the necessary payload on standard chassis cabs with conventional beavertail bodies when delivering ride-on machines weighing around 1300kg.

Turning to KFS for a solution proved to be a game-changing move. Leveraging their in-house expertise, KFS not only met the payload requirements but went above and beyond. The new Load & Go® vehicles feature a full-width slip-resistant tailgate, working-at-height barriers, and a ribbed aluminium deck for enhanced grip during the loading and unloading of machinery.

The devil is in the details, and KFS spared no effort in perfecting the design of these Load & Go® vehicles. Aluminum was strategically used in the body construction and tailgate frame for weight savings, while a unique GRP mesh was sourced for the tailgate surface, ensuring maximum grip for both machinery and operatives.

The timing of this innovation was impeccable. The shortage of Transit stock in the first half of 2014, driven by the introduction of the all-new model range, didn't deter KFS. Their versatile body design can now be fitted to all mainstream chassis cabs, with The Landscape Group even exploring alternative base vehicles.

Already making waves in the field, two out of the three vehicles are in active service and gaining popularity. The third eagerly awaits its turn, poised to join the fleet after commissioning.

It's worth noting that the specifications and payloads of these vehicles may evolve over time, so potential buyers are advised to check before placing an order. The landscape of efficient machinery transportation is evolving, and KFS's Load & Go’s are at the forefront of this revolution.
