Commercial Vehicle with LP13 & Tailgate

AKFS are delighted to have delivered 3 Drop & Go vehicles with added LP13 lights that will be an addition to the fleet of Keltic TM. AKFS would like to extend our thanks to Damien Kelly, Managing Director and Gary Billis, London Operations Manager of Keltic TM for the order. The vehicles have been delivered and will be in service around London and the M25.

Keltic TM regard the safety of their workforce as a priority and the tailgate makes it an easier job to load and off load the temporary traffic lights.

These <a href="<https://www.advanced-kfs.co.uk/services/construction-vehicles/drop-and-go/>">Drop &amp; Go Vehicles</a> have the added flexibility of a hinged LP13 mini directional arrow which enables the vehicle to also accommodate a tailgate. The LP13 lights swing out of the way to allow access to the tailgate. In addition, the LP13 is also detachable and can be easily removed completely from the vehicle without the need of additional hand tools and can stored at the depot when not required.

This commercial vehicle with LP13 light arrow gives an improved payload over traditional dropside vehicles. The low floor means it is safer for workers when stepping up and down on to the vehicle, reducing the risk of injuries from working at height. The retractable telescopic hand rails on each the side of the vehicle are always in place and so do not get left behind or out of place. Again, improving the health and safety aspects of this commercial vehicle.

The spring assisted ramp fitted to the vehicle is unique to AKFS, which is made from a non-slip GRP. The design of the ramp allows the air to flow through the ramp when it is raised and whilst the vehicle is in motion. The vehicle also has a cowl over the cab which greatly improves the airflow over the vehicle. These factors help to reduce the fuel consumption of the vehicle and the wear and tear. The reduced drag improves the vehicle handling characteristics and hence there is less effort for the driver when controlling the vehicle.

With greater worker efficiency, improved Health &amp; Safety conditions for the work force and better fuel consumption, over many of our competitors these commercial vehicles with LP13 and tailgate are another example of the AKFS ethos of, Built Without Compromise. Yet another innovative design by AKFS with other variants offering Fixed LP13, Spring Assisted Ramp all available on body lengths from 3600mm through to 4500mm.
