Making connections at Traffex & Parkex 2017
April 12, 2017
4th - 6th April saw our team here at AKFS Ltd. attend Traffex & Parkex 2017 at the NEC, Birmingham.
An event held specifically for trade professionals working within the Traffic Management sector, Traffex & Parkex gave us the opportunity, not only to show off a selection of our vehicles designed for this particular industry, but also showcase our newest offering - the AKFS Roadmender.
<h2>Clancy Plant and the AKFS Roadmender</h2>
Traffex & Parkex 2017 was particularly exciting for us as we were joined by 2 of our wonderful customers - <a href="<http://www.clancyplant.co.uk/>" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Clancy Plant</a>, and <a href="<http://www.roadsafety.co.uk/>" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Blakedale</a> - whom were also exhibiting at the show; taking their own examples of our Roadmender and Drop & Go vehicles to share with visitors.
For Clancy Plant, the new AKFS Roadmender has been a worthwhile investment, and showcasing it at the event a valuable experience:
“I feel the show was well attended,” comments David Janes, Clancy Plant’s Head of Sales & Corporate Accounts.“And certainly a good place to showcase our offering in Traffic Management. It was good to meet the AKFS team, and see the traffic vehicle on the stand.
“We have tried to find a suitable alternative to the Transit Dropside with a taillift for a long time, and the AKFS vehicle we now have fits the bill adequately; the low bed is certainly the way forward for loading and unloading, and coupled with the Fiat front end, gives us the payload we need.
“Now having a number of these vehicles in the fleet, we are certain that the build quality we have received from your company gives us the confidence to place a further order for these vehicles.”

<h2>New relationships formed at Traffex & Parkex 2017</h2>
We’re delighted that, alongside Clancy Plant’s glowing report, visitors also adored the new Roadmender; given the chance to experience, first-hand, this truly innovative vehicle which allows for the easy, onsite and on-demand mixing of asphalt, with no need to visit an asphalt plant in the middle of a job.
We’re pleased to have had so many visitors to our stand, and therefore the opportunity to have so many meaningful conversations and pursue new working relationships with professionals in the industry.
<h2>Clancy Plant and the mobile VMS unit</h2>
Traffex & Parkex 2017 also gave us the opportunity to talk openly with our existing customers; particularly Clancy Plant who, following the event, expressed a need for a mobile Variable Message Signs (VMS) transport vehicle.
As with all our special vehicles, our VMS units can be tailored to unique designs and needs, and can easily trail 2 display units at a time, unlike most available to the market.
<h2>A successful event for all involved</h2>
Overall, Traffex & Parkex 2017 was an incredible valuable experience for us here at AKFS Ltd., giving us ample opportunity to connect with potential customers and existing customers, as well as showcase our newest offerings to Traffic Management, and provide professionals with more information about our full range of options within the sector.
