Supporting our local community, one vehicle at a time

Although we’re best known here at AKFS Ltd. for supplying specialist & bespoke vehicles to businesses and organisations across the UK and Europe, we do believe that success starts at home and, as part of this belief, we’re always on-hand to support our local community in any way we can.

That’s why, recently, we were delighted to provide Andover Neighbourcare with a brand new minibus, in association with everyday healthcare provider Simplyhealth. To help with the running costs we also presented a cheque for £1000 to spend on fuel.

​

Handed over to the organisation in May, the minibus has been adapted for wheelchairs; making it fully accessible for all needs and abilities.

<strong>Improving social &amp; emotional wellbeing </strong>

Used by Andover Neighbourcare throughout the week to take people with disabilities, the elderly, and those without access to transport on day trips, to important appointments, and to attend local day &amp; leisure services, the new minibus will provide a lifeline to the organisation’s 600 members from across the town &amp; surrounding villages - helping to improve the social and emotional well being of some of Andover’s most vulnerable people.

<strong>Building lasting relationships with other local businesses</strong>

Providing Andover Neighbourcare with this new, adapted vehicle gave us the invaluable opportunity to strengthen relationships, not only with this local organisation, but with Simplyhealth - also based in Andover - responsible for the donation which made the purchase and adaptation of this accessible minibus possible.

We hope to work with both organisations again soon; providing the very best in specialist vehicles, built without compromise.
